As we boarded the boat, I couldn't help but feel like I was about to embark on a journey of epic proportions. I mean, sure, it was just a 1.5hr cruise, but when you're sailing towards a sunset, it feels like the most important mission of your life!

The boat itself was swanky, with more deck space than my studio apartment. The music selection was perfect for the scene we were witnessing, because apparently, sunsets in Cape Town deserve their own soundtrack. I think the seagulls were jealous.

Now, onto the sunset. Picture this: the sun, dressed in its finest shades of orange and pink, starts its descent like a diva making a grand entrance at the Oscars. We were all there, snapping selfies, holding our collective breath like we were watching the world's most dramatic magic trick.

As we sailed back to shore, I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the moon. I mean, how does it compete with that kind of sunset show? If you ever find yourself in Cape Town, do yourself a favour and hop on this boat cruise.
